Abstract

To successfully complete specific assessments, the student will need to know what is expected of them, and develop the skills to deal with it. Depending on where they are studying law and the optional subjects they choose, they may come across many different forms of assessment, or only a very narrow range. This chapter looks at some of the different forms of assessment that they may come across, and gives tips on how they can approach them to enhance chances of success. These include exams, essays, problem questions, multiple choice tests; advocacy, oral presentations, and video submissions; and reflective reports. The chapter also considers group work for assessment.
