Abstract

Objective: The role of animal research in the study of human behavior and psychiatry is still controversial, despite the frequent use of animal experimentation in the preclinical screening of psychoactive substances. One neurochemical system most consistently linked with aggression is the GABAergic system. The aim of the present investigation is to study the effect of injection of baclofen (GABAB agonist) and CGP35348 (GABAB antagonist) into the amygdala nucleus on aggression behavior.
