Abstract
To produce magnesium alloy with ultra fine-grain size, powder mixtures, which zinc powder was added with various contents to turning chips of AZ31B alloy, were mechanically alloyed for various milling times. Micro-structural changes of the mechanically alloyed powder with milling were investigated. In the case of the Mg2.89mol%Al-28mol%Zn and 52mol%Zn powders, these crystals became to amorphous phase for 36ks.
