Abstract

Background: Breast carcinoma is the most common and one of the most malignant tumors in women. Multimodal standard therapy currently increases the 5-year survival rate to over 80%. For some years now, complementary medicine has also been playing an increasingly role in the field of cancer therapy. In particular, mistletoe extract is used in breast cancer therapy to reduce the side effects of tumor therapy and to improve patients’ quality of life. Different approaches exist to stimulate the immune system.
