Abstract

In 2006, the Department of Emergency Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center was charged by the Joint Curriculum Oversight Group at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine to create a unique curriculum for the approach to the undifferentiated patient as part of an advanced core clerkship for third year medical students who have completed general clerkships in medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and obstetrics/gynecology.
