Abstract

Treatment of tendon-adhesion at zone 2 lesion have been improved by anti-adhesive materials. The new anti-adhesive membrane made of poly (lactic acid-co-caprolactone) sponge can be applied to cases with poor gliding base or cases with fracture of bone and so on. Effect of the membrane-type anti-adhesive materials are evaluated using chicken model. Anti-adhesive performance was measured by various gliding tests and the results were compared with hystological and clinical evaluation. These results suggested that adhesion of tendon were prevented by the poly (lactic acid-co-caprolactone) membrane and degenerative change of tendon covered by the material was reduced by addition of hyaluronic acid to the anti-adhesive membrane.
