Abstract
The use of silent chains for automotive cam drive systems spreads rapidly because of the excellent noise performance. However, it is still needed to develop a silent chain with lower noise. In this study, noise experiments for various types of chain with different link plate have been carried out. The influence on noise level by meshing condition and the shape of link plate were clarified.
