SummaryPittosporum beecheyi Tuyama, endemic to the Ogasawara (Bonin) Islands is described and illustrated; the species is known only from the Hahajima Island group. Key characters for the recognition of this species include the hairy ovary, the solitary flowers with curved pedicels, and the pendulous globose fruits that dehisce into three valves.
