Abstract

The importance of basic life support (BLS) education for the public is being emphasized recently for increasing the survival of patients in out of hospital cardiac arrest. For this, enforcing early BLS education through school education is effective. It is not requested as an obligation in our country yet. Some school health educators are enforcing their own education programs, but they are not accomplished through unified education methods, courses, and teaching materials. We enforced this study in order to develop an education course that could be actually practiced in middle schools, by investigating the present recognition and the practice level of education which is before enforcing unified education among middle school students.
