Abstract

East Japan Railway Company and Hitachi have been developing new energy propulsion system using energy strage technology from the first year of 21th century. The system was elavuated by taking on NE train, prototype vehicle aiming at energy saving effect and environment friendliness. In this paper, we will introduce additional two controls, 'Idle stop control in running condition' and 'Engine stopping control', based on its test run results.
