Abstract
This chapter lists the published specifications and test methods used in the United States, in addition to British Standards and ISO International Standards. U. S. industry standards include American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) test methods, ASTM practices, guides, definitions, terminologies and abbreviations, ASTM specifications, SAE-AMS Specifications, and Underwriters Laboratories Standards. U.S. Government standards covered include Military Specifications, Military Standards, Federal Standards, Military Handbooks, and Federal Specifications. Most of these standards are undergoing frequent revision, and unused standards are constantly being withdrawn.
