Abstract

The previous chapters have outlined concepts, methods, and techniques relevant to the development of mathematical models of physiological systems. This final chapter now presents a number of case studies which will demonstrate how such approaches have been applied in tackling a number of real physiological and medical situations. Taken together, these case studies cover the application of a wide range of modeling methods and techniques.
