Abstract

Aim: Waist/height is a proposed index of cardiovascular and metabolic risk in youth that is simple to calculate and that may be superior to body mass index (BMI). Most studies that have assessed waist/height in youth have done so with a wide range of body sizes. We aimed to compare the waist/height and BMI z-score specifically in overweight youth.
