Abstract
AbstractA 61‐inch, high definition projection TV having a large neck 36.5mm neck diameter CRT and ATSC 18 format digital decoder has been developed. The large neck CRT is driven by a highly stabilized deflection circuit and 30MHz wide band video drive circuit. This HDTV enables excellent image quality for ATSC HD signal sources. The specifications of the display are horizontal 900TV line resolution, 550Cd/m2 peak brightness and contrast ratio 100. We report on the technology to realize these high performance features.
