Abstract

Mentalization-based treatment for adolescents (MBT-A), as studied in randomized controlled trials of self-harming adolescents, includes the established MBT approach developed initially for adults with BD and for families as well (mentalization-based treatment for families). This approach has been used in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This presentation will provide an understanding of the MBT-A model and its application as implemented in a children’s state hospital setting.
