Abstract
We analyze the solidification process and microstructure of Copper-Iron alloy by using phase-field method. We show that the crystal grain size of iron is significantly influenced by cooling rate and composition of the alloy system. By using this method, we can easily understand the formation process of the alloy microstructure and evaluate various process conditions.
