Abstract

Objective To provide reference for rational, safe uses of medications by analyzing the regularity and characteristics of adverse drug reactions ( ADR ) occurring in our clinic injection center. Methods 104 cases of ADRs occurring at our clinic injection center in 2011 were analyzed statistically. Results ADRs occurred mainly in the patients aged 19 to 40 ( 63 patients or 60.58% ).Intravenous drip caused ADRs more easily than any other routes of administration ( 101 patients or 97.12% ).The majority of ADRs were caused by uses of antimicrobial agents ( 70 patients or 67.31% ).Quinolones were the leading antimicrobials of causing ADRs ( 28 patients or 40% ).Injections of Chinese traditional medicine induced ADRs in 28 patients ( 26.93% ).The most common presentations of ADRs were damageof skin and its appendages ( 67 patients or 64.42% ).Conclusions Intravenous medications should be used with caution.Rational uses of antimicrobial drugs and uses of injections of Chinese traditional medicine based on syndrome differentiation can reduce the incidence of ADRs.
