SummaryThe new species, Haemanthus humanii G.D.Duncan, is described. This extraordinary, winter‐growing, summer‐flowering dwarf geophyte is endemic to flats and undulating plains in the southern Namaqualand region of the Western Cape, South Africa. Details of its history, taxonomy, habitat and cultivation are given.
