Abstract
Background: The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) governs accredited residency programs for compliance with pediatric resident proficiency in several procedures. Our institution utilizes Suture Technicians; therefore, residents may graduate without performing a sufficient number of required laceration repairs to reach proficiency.
