Abstract

The elasticity of grinding wheels has been analyzed depending on a mathematical model so far. As the results of analytical and experimental evaluations, it is confirmed that the model we proposed can be useful for analyzing the elastic phenomena of grinding wheel. In this paper, the effect of centrifugal force on the size of grinding wheel is evaluated by using our model. According to the evaluation, it is clarified that the rotating wheels radius change due to the effect of centrifugal force and then the finishing workpiece size may be influenced by the rotating speed.
