Abstract

Racial and/or ethnic differences have been shown to impact prevalence of pelvic floor disorders (PFDs) as well as care-seeking behavior, rate of bothersome symptoms, and treatment approaches and outcomes. However, racial minorities have been drastically unrepresented on prior studies focusing on pelvic organ prolapse. The Pelvic Floor Disorders Network (PFDN) has conducted the most impactful clinical trials which guide evidence-based clinical care and treatments for women with PFDs. The objective of this study is to evaluate the racial and ethnic representation in PFDN trials.
