Abstract
Medial iatrogenic patellar instability is a relatively common complication of a lateral retinacular release procedure. Patients with medial iatrogenic patellar instability who fail conservative management may require surgical intervention. In this chapter, we describe a soft tissue based lateral patellofemoral ligament (LPFL) reconstruction procedure. Although outcomes literature remains limited, early case series of LPFL reconstructions are promising.
