Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences among the three levels of body fat percentage and the four levels of body mass index in order to identify the relationship between behavioral fitness and obesity based on the data of college students measured by the National Physical Fitness Award. Method: By National Physical Fitness Award measurement system, height, weight, body fat percentage, body mass index (BMI), muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, agility, power and physical fitness certification grade of 158 college students were measured and verified the average difference in obesity with ANOVA Results: Body fat percentage showed significant differences in muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance and power and BMI in muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance and power according to the physical fitness certification grade. Conclusion: Body fat percentage and BMI showed significant differences in the three behavioral fitness, however, physical fitness certification grade of BMI did not show any difference. Interdisciplinary Research Implications: It is expected that gaming participants could have an opportunity to discover and prevent their health problems through interdisciplinary research
