Abstract

Dental diseases are common and frequently occurring diseases of human beings, and with the aging of the population and sports injuries and bad habits, there are an increasing number of patients suffering from dental diseases. Dental diseases can not only cause facial deformation, but also lead to the loss of masticatory function. Therefore dental devices such as implants, orthodontic arch wires, and dentures are more and more frequently used in clinical applications. This chapter introduces the clinical applicability and the development of dental medical devices, including the orthopedic arch wires, dental implants, and dentures. Following this, the surface modification technology of dental devices was also summarized, together with a review of the application status, advantages, and prospects of 3D printing technology in dental devices. Finally, the development trend of dental devices processing technology is prospected.
