Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to discuss briefly a historical advancement of ferroelectric materials since its discovery, pointing out the necessity of ferroelectric polymer composite and molecular ferroelectrics. Then we will describe the crystalline (semi-crystalline) structure, surface morphology, and molecule orientation of pristine ferroelectric materials. Ferroelectric polymer composites are generally being prepared to enhance or modify the ferroelectric properties depending on technological application. Discussion of preparation and characterization of polymer-inorganic ferroelectric composites, polymer-conducting nano-particle composites, polymer-ferroelectric bio material composites, and ferroelectric-molecular ferroelectric composites will also be undertaken. Finally, applicability of these ferroelectric composite in future technology will be summarized with concluding remarks.
