Abstract

Millimeter Wave Universal Filtered Multicarrier (MMW-UFMC) is proposed to achieved high flexible bandwidth transmission over fiber-wireless (FiWi) system for 5G wireless communication. The proposed system transmitted 10 Gbps UFMC over passive optical network with 60 GHz MMW link. MATLAB and OPTISYSTEM platforms were used to simulate the proposed system, and the performance has investigated by calculation bit error rate (BER) and error vector magnitude (EVM) for B2B, 15, 25, 40, 60 and 75 km optical length transmission. With B2B and 15 km optical distance transmission constant, EVM and BER performance has measured for several received optical power as well. The results show that hybrid oMMW-UFMC-PON are a potential solution toward 5G networks.
