Abstract
Discussion in the chapter would be centered on the major diseases of turmeric like rhizome rot and its symptoms, epidemiology, crop loss, and management, both chemical and biological. The other aspects of discussion would be on the diseases leaf rot, leaf blotch, and leaf spot and their epidemiology and management. Discussion would also be on minor diseases of turmeric, which includes leaf blast and leaf blight, caused by nematodes and brown rot. There will also be a discussion in the chapter on bacterial diseases of turmeric. Further discussion in the chapter would be on storage, storage loss, and how to minimize it.
