Abstract

There is a substantial “voltage gap” between the outcomes of randomized controlled trials and everyday clinical outcomes across a broad range of child and adolescent mental health problems. While measurement-based care (MBC), the systematic administration of symptom rating scales and use of the results to drive clinical decision making at the level of the individual patient, has the potential to improve outcomes, there are still relatively few examples of MBC being successfully implemented within the field.
