Abstract
両側性の水腎症を呈する1歳3カ月齢，去勢雄の雑種猫に対し上部尿路の通過障害を疑い試験開腹を実施した．両側の尿管が外側膀胱索付近で尿管と交差する精管によって圧迫される所見が観察された．尿管を圧迫している精管には過度な緊張が認められ，この緊張した左右精管による尿管圧迫が水腎症の原因であると判断し，左右精管の切離を行った．高度水腎症が認められた右腎は摘出した．術後3カ月の検診時，術前に認められた左腎の水腎症は改善し，良好な一般状態を維持している.
