Abstract

Four novel mononuclear transition metal complexes bearing 5-methyl-1-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-1, 2, 3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid (H2L) as main ligand and 2, 2′-bpy, 1, 10-phen as ancillary ligands were obtained, of which complexes 1–4 were structurally characterized by FT-IR, single crystal X-ray diffraction, PXRD, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), UV–Vis spectroscopy and fluorescent spectroscopy. Complex 1 and 3 are isomorphous compounds with the same monoclinic crystal system (C2/c space group). It was also found four complexes were further expanded into a supramolecular structure by hydrogen-bonding interactions and/or π···π stacking, C-H···π contacts, further confirmed by the information conveyed from Hirshfeld surfaces and 2D fingerprint plots. In addition, the complexes exhibit highly intense electrochemiluminescence (ECL) in PBS solution.
