Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the current morbidity and mortality of severe sepsis and septic shock among children with cancer admitted to the pediatric intensive unit (PICU) Introduction: Severe sepsis and septic shock (SS/SS) in pediatric oncology patients is a leading cause of PICU admission, morbidity and mortality.
