Abstract
ABSTRACT Recent image-tube spectra of the shell stars Cas (B0 IV:e) and Tan :B2 IVp) covering the 1.03-1.20 range show He i A10830 and H i x10938 (P7) as principal features. These lines are entirely in emission in 7 Cas, but show P Cygni profiles in Tan. Weak emission features at A10914 and A10949 present in 7 Cas and at x10868 in Tan are tentatively identified.
