Abstract
With the significant rise in opioid use among young adults, hospitalizations for opioid-related morbidity and mortality are rising nationally. Injection opioid use, particularly in the era of fentanyl, places young people at high risk for infectious complications and is a leading cause of opioid-related morbidity and mortality for youth using opioids.
