Abstract
Intergenerational economic mobility has been strongly linked to socioeconomic status of their family of origin, which in turn affects parental investment and parenting behavior. We test the impact of parenting behavior, specifically parental supervision, on their children’s income 2 decades later over and above the impact of parental economic and educational status.
