Abstract
This study explored how the COVID-19 crisis affected parental stress and parent-child conflict in families with a child currently treated in an outpatient mental health service. Specifically, we wanted to: 1) investigate the effects of parental stress, relative to general stress, as a mediator of the impact of COVID-19 on parent-child conflict; and 2) test potential moderators of this mediation effect within the family functioning to identify a target for intervention.
