Abstract
Three compounds, containing the complexes [Pb 3 (H -3 taci)] 3+ (taci=1,3,5-triamino-1,3,5-trideoxy-cis-inositol), have been prepared by combining solutions of taci and the corresponding metal nitrates. Single-crystal X-ray analysis of Pb 6 (H -3 taci) 2 (NO 3 ) 5 (OH)(H 2 O) 2 , P1 and Bi 3 (H -3 taci) 2 Cl 3 -6H 2 O, R3, revealed the presence of trinuclear complexes, where each metal ion is bound to one terminal amino group and to two deprotonated, bridging hydroxyl groups of taci.
