Abstract
Maternal depression negatively impacts child mental health, yet maternal and child mental health are usually treated separately. To explore models for better coordination of maternal and child treatment we conducted a systematic review asking: 1) How does the treatment of maternal MDD affect child mental health?; 2) What is the impact of maternal MDD on child mental health treatment?; and 3) What are the current models for addressing maternal MDD in pediatric or child and adolescent psychiatric settings?
