Abstract
In the title compound [systematic name: 1,10-phenanthrolin-1-ium 4-(3-carboxy-2-hydroxynaphthylmethyl)-3-hydroxy-2-naphthoate N,N-dimethylformamide solvate], C12H9N2+·C23H15O6−·C3H7NO, the two naphthyl ring systems of the pamoate monoanion are perpendicular to each other. O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions and π–π stacking interactions stabilize the crystal structure.
