Abstract

In this paper, we wanted to find out about the trend and main characteristics of the life unit learning of textbooks made during the first arithmetic curriculum. The life unit learning is designed to realize child-centered and life-centered under the influence of the new education movement, and it has the structure of activity, problem-solving, systematic knowledge, and functional training in it. Several content areas were included in one section and a child-centered narrative structure was shown. The main features of this first unit of life learning may be seen as a significant example of the implementation of storytelling mathematics today.
