Abstract

One person households are rapidly increasing and have emerged as an important segment in the Korean leisure market. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationships of leisure attitude, consumption, and satisfaction of Korean one person households. Also the moderating effect of income status on the relationships of leisure attitude, consumption, and satisfaction was investigated.<BR> A structural equation model was developed and analyzed using the data of 1,902 single households from the「2020 National Leisure Activity Survey」. It was found that leisure attitude has a positive influence on leisure time and expenditure which influence leisure satisfaction. Finally, income was found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between leisure consumption and satisfaction. The effect of leisure time on satisfaction was stronger in the upper income group and that of leisure expenditure was stronger in the lower income class. This study provides implications to enhance understanding of leisure consumption of one person households.
