Abstract

to verify if complex prosthetic procedures (plaque incision or sliding technique) have worse results (complications and satisfaction rate) in comparison with simple prosthetic surgery . We revised perioperative and follow up data prospectively collected of patients (pt) who underwent penile prosthetic surgery at our referral centre from 10/2004 to 1/2017. We had complete data of 395 pt, average age 61, 276 with a hydraulic prothesis, 119 with a non hydraulic. We divided patients in 2 groups: - group A: 308 pt (age 61), affected from simple ED or ED + mild curvature (<30°), treated with simple prosthesis implantation with or without Wilson modeling - group B: 87 pt (age 60), affected from important penile curvature or shortening due to Peyronie’s, treated with prosthesis + plaque surgery or sliding technique All patients had a follow up visit 1 year after surgery and filled IIEF, EDITS, SEP3 and a “ad hoc” question about general satisfaction. Statistical analysis: Fisher, Mann-Whithney.
