Abstract

Experiments were conducted to acquire the effect of temperature on the yield and low heating value of the gas product derived from biomass pyrolysis and gasification process in fluidized bed that employed steam and nitrogen as fluidizing media respectively Based on the experimental results of five different biomass samples, a kinetic model to simulate the gas yield of biomass pyrolysis and gasification in fluidized bed has been developed, and an empirical equation to estimate low heating value of the gas product was obtained as well This result is useful for calculation in design of biomass fueled circulating fluidized bed boiler
