Abstract

Over the past decade, there has been a significant decrease in the pregnancy rates among teens in the US. However, unintended pregnancy in this population is still a public health concern. Gaps in knowledge and practice of sexual and reproductive health behaviors among young people has been identified as an important contributor to rates of unintended pregnancy. Southern states account for some of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the nation.
