Abstract

BACKGROUND: The introduction of Magnetically Controlled Growth rods (MCGR) has offered hope for a reduction in the number of surgical encounters required for treatment of Early Onset Scoliosis. Although the use of such systems is supported by NICE there are concerns regarding potential issues with this novel technology. We present our single centre experience of this device in the treatment of all types of EOS.
