Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide fundamental data on parents' perceptions regarding the consolidation of Early Childhood Education and Childcare (ECEC) and to explore a desirable direction. To achieve the objectives of the research, an online survey was conducted of parents whose infants and toddlers (or young children) attending in kindergartens and daycare centers. The survey continued from July 27 to August 5, 2022. The research study aimed to analyze the choice of the institution, the inconveniences, improvement requirements, usage time, teachers and curriculum, as well as their opinions on the integration of reservation for deriving meaningful implications. The primary result of the data analysis revealed that they might not accurately recognize the necessity and the advantages and disadvantages of ECEC integration, emphasizing the need for public awareness campaigns on this matter. Building upon these research findings, the study suggested that a future policy implementations should be involved gathering the opinions from the public, parents, and experts as a crucial policy implication. Based on the research results, it was suggested that the policy implementation that collects opinions from those skateholders is necessary in the future.
