Abstract

(0 0 1) Co2Z filled random Co2Z powders were synthesized via a two-step method, which was mixed in a organics matrix of tape cast to investigate the electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption properties in a wide frequency region. The results suggest that in comparison with the commonly random Co2Z powder, (0 0 1) Co2Z filled random Co2Z powder exhibits significantly enhanced EM wave absorption properties in terms of both the maximum reflection loss and absorption bandwidth. This work provides new insights on enhancing EM wave absorption properties, which is critical for the development of oriented powder based on EM shielding devices.
