Abstract

The article considers the national movement of Kazakhs of the Altai Territory to revive their national culture, language, traditions. It began at the end of the 20th century and is very actively developing to date. The process of creating Kazakh national-cultural associations and national-cultural autonomies in the Altai Territory is described, because they play an important role in the national-cultural and socio-political life of the region. Topical problems of national-cultural associations and national-cultural autonomies at the present stage are named.
