Abstract

The paper analyzes the transformation of the traditional understanding of the family in the socio-cultural space of Russia of the 20th and early 21st centuries. It is noted that the formation of family values was greatly influenced by socio-economic changes in the country. The modern image of the family was supplemented by trends that express the development of society: heterogeneity and inconsistency of values, the synthesis of the remaining Soviet stereotypes and modern values. The purpose of the work is the analysis of the features of changes in traditional ideas about the family in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. It is noted that undergoing transformations, the family has constantly demonstrated the ability to self-repair and strengthen its own potential. Currently, the formation of the image of the family and gender-family relations is intensively influenced by information technologies, which in the post-Soviet period became the main tool for modeling family relations. It is revealed that in terms of ideological crisis, on the one hand, the revival of traditional family values, on the other – active formation of new values that promote personal status and quality of life of a modern person.
