Abstract

The hoard of Russian silver coins found in Kosh presents a great interest, further study of which can be the basis of new discoveries. The find of such a large number of russian coins once again proves the involvement of the region in trade activities. Armenia's favorable position between the East and the West, contributed to the development of trade and cultural relations. The hoard consists of 3002 kopecks and 75 silver coins called Mordovka. It is unique in its quantity. The coins of Mikhail Feodorovich (1645-1676) are a large amount in the hoard. In all probability the hoard had been buried during the first decade of the XVIII century, as there are coins of the pre-reform period of Peter I.
