Abstract

In this paper, on the premise of a large number of information, the time complement VOVC and VCO these two structures in TCFL grammar books and textbooks in the teaching situation were investigated. Through the analysis of the existing data, this paper does not propose to teach both VOVC and VCO at the same time, and questions the teaching of the VOVC structure in the primary stage. Finally, we design the teaching scheme of the time complement, and put forward the scheme of five steps.BR The system of teaching material is very important. More attention should be paid to the order of grammar teaching in the textbooks which pay more attention to oral English. In the Series of spoken Chinese (2009) published by Peking University, the grammatical point of temporal complement is not mentioned at all. This paper does not advocate doing so, but grammar teaching should be applied to the practice in the end. Therefore, we should follow from easy to difficult, step by step. As for the differences between VOVC and VCO in the actual use of language, as well as the differences in syntactic structure and semantics, we will try our best to analyze them. This paper is only a foreshadowing and is based on it. Two kinds of structure, VOVC and VCO, will be studied by ontology.
